Kevin combining barley for feed for pigs. Straw will be used for bedding in barns.
Barley and non-gm corn mixed on farm as feed for Berkshires. Flax and a vitamin mineral mix added as well.
Taking care of the other end. Pigs are cleaned regularly
and manure is stored in a cement bunker to avoid runoff into
the environment. Manure is spread in the spring and summer
to fertilize next years crop.
